ACTION:
Taraxacum:
It is the dandelion that will mostly drain the medial lobe of the liver. The main indication is hepatic drainer for those with a tongue lacking taste buds. Carduus Marianus:

Characteristically hepatic pains are worsened when lying down on the left side, nausea is experienced along with acid and bilious vomiting when palpating the liver. The patient has headaches and migraines along with vomiting. All these signs will generally be worsened with alcoholic beverages. Chelidonium:
As the previous remedy, it will also be an excellent liver drainer especially the right lobe therefore completing the action on the whole liver. Its characteristic pain on the right side can irradiate to the right shoulder blade. Breath is very unpleasant and the person has a dirty yellow tongue. Being attracted by hot foods, the patient has gastroduodenal pains which improve when he eats. He can have diarrhea; somnolence after meals is typical.
Solidago:
"golden rod" is a good liver drainer and a very good kidney drainer. The ideal person for this remedy has a bitter taste in his mouth, is constipated and doesn't urinate.
Lycopodium:
Homeopathic remedy especially used as an constitutional remedy for patients having sensitive livers with caracteristical right laterality. He also has subumbilical flatulence and abdominal walls are very distended. When sitting at the table he has a tendency to loosen his belt after the fIrst bite. He is characterized by hepatic and digestive disorders with food intolerances. His condition usually worsens between 5 pm and 8 pm.
Cynara:
Its leaves act upon the liver and are cholagogue.
Boldo:
Its cholagogue and choleretic action improves the draining action on the liver.
China:
Is especially used for abdominal distension and compliments lycopodium. It is also used for cases of diarrhea wi
th exhaustion.
Hydrastis:
In homeopathy it is often used for yellow secretions and is a general drainer. |
